Does pumping the septic tank fix a clogged drain?
Keep in mind that pumping the septic tank may provide temporary improvements to toilet flushing, but it’s not enough to repair a clogged drain nor a failing drain field.
The failure to properly maintain any septic system is the leading cause of early septic system failures.

Should septic tank riser be above ground?
Septic tank riser should never be buried.
They should be approx. 2" from final grade(ground level) to prevent ground water from entering the system.

What size septic tank riser do I need?
Septic tanks must be installed with at least one watertight riser extending to the ground surface or above.
The riser must have a minimum diameter of 20 inches when the soil cover above the tank does not exceed 36 inches.

Make sure there is no growing vegetation around your septic tank. This includes tree roots.

Never put anything heavy on top of your septic tank. This includes: vehicles, pools, decks, driveways, car ports, garages, etc.

Any household of more then 2 people should have their septic pumped out yearly.
